Filing a complaint about a hospital or someone who works at one can be easy.

Contact the Hospital: Start by addressing your concerns directly with the hospital's patient relations department. (Links to RVH and Stevenson Memorial is below.) This is often the quickest way to resolve issues. You can also go directly to the unit's Manager to try and resolve these issues.

Patient Ombudsman: If the issue isn't resolved, you can contact the                       .                  They handle complaints about public hospitals, long-term care homes, home care, and community surgical and diagnostic centres. You can submit a complaint online or by mail.

Regulatory Colleges: For complaints about regulated health professionals like doctors or nurses, contact their respective regulatory bodies.
